Child Care at LASC

Laconia Athletic & Swim Club is proud to welcome you to our KidZone. We feel confident that this positive environment, combined with our qualified staff, will ensure a safe and productive playtime for your child while you enjoy the facilities of the club.
For a positive transition to leaving your child in a new environment, we encourage you and your child to visit our KidZone, spend some time meeting the staff and familiarize yourselves with the room and the other children.  Checkout our KidZone Newsletter.

Hours of Operation:

Mornings: M-F 8:30a- 1pm; Saturdays- 8a-12pm;

Evenings- M-Th 4:00-7:30pm; Fridays 4:00-6:30pm (beginning Oct. 21st)

Cost:  There is a $3.00 charge for each child per visit for a maximum of 2 hours. There is no charge for a child included in a Family Membership. Non members and guests must pay $8.00 per child per visit. Children of members who are on freeze and come in to use the facility must pay $5.00 per visit. Child care tickets can be purchased at the front desk. There is a 2 hour time limit on all visits to the KidZone.

10 Minute Cry Period:  When there is a child who is having a hard time adjusting to the environment and / or anxiety because their parent has left the room, we allow a crying time of 10 minutes for the child. During this time the child care staff will do everything possible to calm your child. If everything fails, and the child is still crying, the staff will page the parent to come pick up the child. Please come get your child in a timely fashion and try again another time.

Discipline Policy:  Sometimes it is necessary to redirect a child to another activity or to separate 2 children away from each other. We always talk with the child first, or redirect them when there are issues, but you will be asked to remove the child for the day if his or her behavior compromises the safety of the other children in the room.
